“Our customers and communities are facing an unprecedented challenge,” said Travelers CEO and Chairman Alan Schnitzer. “Helping in a crisis is what we do, and the commitments we’re making today to take care of the communities in which we live and work are an extension of the fundamental role we play.”
Travelers said the donation will be split into three parts:
Travelers, which has offices in several buildings across the Capital City, also said it has repurposed its kitchen facilities in Hartford to help not-for-profit organizations prepare and deliver free meals. It will provide 100 meals daily between Monday and Thursday to Hands on Hartford, and 160 meals daily from Monday to Friday to Meals on Wheels.
